Start listening to how you talk to yourself, in your head or out loud.  Do you say things that judge yourself or put yourself down?  Do you blame yourself when things go wrong?  Do you belittle yourself?  Or do you say things that make yourself feel good, even in difficult circumstances.

If you were looking after a young child and you said the same words to them, when they were trying new things or trying to grow in this difficult world, would they feel good and happy about themselves? Or would they feel sad, hurt and unwilling to try again? See how your words affect your well-being and happiness and start to treat yourself like that young child you are looking after.

Billy Connelly has talked quite a bit about carrying his inner child on his shoulder and talking to him regularly, healing the hurts of a difficult childhood. Maybe it is time for us all to do this now.
Today’s Healing
Sit quietly in a nice space, focus on your breath and do a few cycles slowing your breath down as you go. Then tune in and ask to receive today’s healing to help Nurture your Inner Child. It will help you to treat yourself in a more kindly way and also to listen to your inner child and help release any old pain that is still locked in. Stay still for a few minutes and then return to your day.
